I founded the Tabbre Project because Net Zero policies are making access to energy unreliable and expensive. This is a disaster for the world's poor.
The only viable way to achieve net zero is to make renewable energy cheaper and more abundant than fossil fuels.

Floating Solar Farms
Located in the oceanic gyres of the southern hemisphere
Tabbre intends to meet the world’s energy needs by creating vast oceanic solar farms.
These will consist of flexible lightweight floating structures made from recyclable plastic.
The oceanic gyres are deserted, largely sterile tropical waters covering tens of millions of square kilometres.
It is intended that the entire solar farm infrastructure will be fully automated using robotic AI.
When complete, there will be no requirement for new materials such as steel, aluminium and plastics because at the end of their useful life, every component will be recycled in fully automated and autonomous facilities.

Why floating solar?
Oceanic floating solar farms are much cheaper than land based solar:
- Made of recyclable plastics
- Use cheap perovskite PV collector
- No cost for land
- The oceanic gyres are deserted tropical waters with no plant life or fish
- The oceans cover 310 million square kilometers
- Only 0.3% required to meet today's needs
- Tabbre's energy will be less than $5 per MWh
- For comparison: the energy in oil costs $50 per MWh
Why hydrogen, ammonia & methane?
Clean fuels that solve
intermittency
Energy that can be transported and stored
This hyydrogen will be collected and converted to ammonia and methane. The methane, aka natural gas, will be produced using carbon captured from the sea and air in floating facilities near the solar farms.
The hydrogen, methane and ammonia will shiped to consumers as a clean, carbon neutral fuel replacement for fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas and oil.
Using solar energy to produce hydrogen, methane and ammonia solves the problem of intermittency.
These fuels, unlike electricity, can be easily transported and stored for later consumption.

Making the vision possible
TABB is like Bitcoin in that it has a fixed maximum supply. A large fraction of all TABB will be held by a decentralized foundation, The Tabbre Foundation.
The Foundation’s TABB holdings will be used as collateral for debt finance to fund the development of these oceanic floating solar farms.
The sustainable energy generated by Tabbre will be priced and sold for BRE, a decentralized stable value cryptocurrency expressed on the Tabbre blockchain.
The Tabbre Chain uses a proof of stake consensus.
BRE will be issued and managed by the Tabbre decentralized foundation using an algorithmic method to ensure the value of BRE remains stable.

Using
crypto to fund

Profits reinvested
Typically, for investment purposes, crypto assets are not sold but used as collateral against which fiat currency can be borrowed.
This is because crypto assets such as Bitcoin and Ether have, relative to fiat currency, appreciated enormously over the years, a trend which is expected to continue.
In the case of Bitcoin this appreciation is about one hundred million percent over ten years.
All profits generated by the scheme will be reinvested into more renewable energy capacity until a target energy output is reached.
At this point, called the distribution point, profits will be distributed.
The Tabbre decentralized foundation will distribute profits to TABB holders by using the profits to buy and burn TABB.
The intent is to cause significant appreciation in the value of TABB.
Just how good is the Tabbre Investment Model?
Compared with Bitcoin
As a demonstration of the potential of the Tabbre Investment Model, consider Bitcoin.
If Bitcoin had been configured like Tabbre, with its own decentralized foundation when it was launched and assuming the Bitcoin’s Decentralised Foundation’s purpose being to invest in US S&P 500 index stocks.
In 2024, had it existed. the Bitcoin Decentralised Foundation would have nearly 3 trillion dollars in assets and distribute 150 billion dollars to Bitcoin holders, by buying and burning Bitcoin. This is nearly $700,000 per Bitcoin mined in 2024.
Our modelling indicates this would drive the value of Bitcoin to over $1 million per Bitcoin.
This provides an indication of the potential of the Tabbre Investment Model.
Tabbre will unlike Bitcoin, invest in a profitable renewable energy.
Because of Tabbre's unique approach, Tabbre has the potential to be the dominant energy supplier in a global market that is currently worth more than 6 trillion dollars per year and growing fast.

In the interests of social fairness and social cohesion and a protection against confiscation by governments, Tabbre intends to use a significant fraction of profits from the scheme to fund a global universal basic income (GUBI).

BRE’s role in paying the global UBI coupled with BRE’s role as the currency for trading energy will cause BRE to become a self-sovereign decentralized global currency.
